Eric Malcolm

I develop object-oriented clean front-end code and lead accessibility efforts on agile development teams.

As a front-end developer I help architect solutions while creating usable, human-friendly and accessible websites, interfaces, and apps.

I also help to lead the Metro Detroit WordPress Meetup group and am the Lead Organizer for WordCamp Detroit (2018 & 2019).

Randy Walker

Randy is an elearning developer, podcast engineer, and general-purpose geek. He’s been using WordPress since the very beginning, and has written themes and plugins.

He’s a co-organizer of the Metro Detroit WordPress Meetup group and is volunteer coordinator for WordCamp Detroit 2019.

Andy Melichar

Emerson Jeffries

Emerson is the proud owner and business consultant at Emerson DSign, Inc. where he assists business owners in establishing and promoting their business ventures. He has serviced over 100 small businesses in the Metro Detroit area create their digital signature on the web!

At only 16 years, he has already set a foundation for himself in the WordPress community. This will be his third year attending WordCamp Detroit, his second organizing, and he is proud to be around people who share similar technological and aesthetic interests. In his free time, Emerson enjoys spending time with his family, sharing love and light on stage with Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit and working with his non-profit to bring communities together to promote change around them.

Anthony Montalbano

Anthony is the Managing Director and co-founder of AMBR Detroit. AMBR has built custom WordPress sites for clients such as StockX, Rocket Fiber, Emagine Entertainment, and more. He’s developed many custom plugins and themes for WordPress for over a decade.

Anthony’s helped mentor startups and loves watching the Detroit tech community grow. Anthony enjoys good whiskey and cold showers.

Jeannette Washington, M.Ed.

Jeannette worked as a Speech Pathologist for a number of years before attending a coding bootcamp and transcending into teaching career changers and industry implants to code. Her passion for exceptional learners has helped ignite conversations across multiple dimensions of intersectionality in the tech industry. She owns Bearly Articulating, a concierge style, equity, diversity and inclusivity (D&I) think tank. Her interests include her Mine Craft and Roblox obsessed 6 year old son and Artificial Intelligence.

RJ Mey

RJ is the web developer at American Expedition Vehicles. He’s also the resident WordPress dude at Anita Expert. He blogs about new WordPress technologies at javascriptforwp.com. He also plays drums in local band the Sugar Bombs, plays tabletop games with his friends, and competes in local ethics competitions. Sometimes he sleeps.
