Tips for Speakers
- Full Sessions are typically 35 minutes long with a 10 minute Q&A at the end of the session.
- Lightning Talks are typically 10 to 15 minutes long.
- Workshop timing may vary depending on subject and availability.
- You are not required to be a professional speaker but you must know your WordPress topic well.
- Be prepared.
- Keep content and language PG, WordCamp is for all ages, we encourage free speech but we are also creating a safe and diverse family-friendly event.
Tips to Apply for Speaking at WordCamp Detroit
- Please ensure your topic relates to a WordPress audience.
- Take the time to carefully craft your bio and description of your talk. Submissions with detailed descriptions generally are more likely to be chosen.
